Applied Game Design 
I saw that. It’s an interesting take. And I love that you included quotes from a bunch of others in the industry. Instead of just posting your opinion on a neat idea, you turned it into a real insight into the space. Thanks!
I agree totally that game design is its own game. When you gain skills as a designer or as a company, new opportunities open up for you, and you are faced with bigger and bigger obstacles. Certainly game design involves more variables and factors that video games, but the idea’s the same.
