After a whirlwind roadtrip and 12 hours of sleep, I’m back home and on my regular posting schedule. In the next few days, I’ll post some GDC follow up stuff as well as more info on the future, if any, of my game design challenge OneHundredDogs.com.
There are upsides to driving across the country (seeing the actual country, spending time with your family, enjoying the different dialects…) and downsides most of which revolve around the indisputable reality that 2700 miles is a long, long drive.

Glad to hear you made the trip back safely, especially with the wacky weather throughout the states.
I’ve only driven through the states one time, from California to Kansas. It’s pretty nice seeing all the different things out there. I made the brutal mistake of driving 21ish hours straight… I think the next time I’ll take some breaks next time.
Yes – It’s great to hear your back safe and sound. And as much as jet lag is no fun, you must be absolutely exhausted.
Home is a great place to be. San Francisco is a cool place to visit but after a week you just want to sit in on your own couch and sleep in your own bed. I’m sure you’re arrival was even sweeter as I had a quick plane ride where as you had an extremely long drive.
